About Us...

My objective is to increase
your awareness that those of us
with a brain injury still have
intelligence and drive to live life
to the fullest. Poetry for me is a
way to express myself. I hope
that my thoughts and feelings can
help you to identify what your
journey is in life.

In reading my poetry you may
find that you have or have had
the same thoughts and feelings
but could not express them. It
has been a revolution for me to
find who I am through poetry.
You may find that poetry helps
with your search.

Please enjoy!

Caregiver's Corner...

This section is dedicated to all parents,
families, and caregivers of children with
traumatic brain injuries(tbi's). It is
hosted by my mom, who knows a lot
about this topic, because she's lived it
since my accident in 1980. Her experiences
make her an expert, so she'll be sharing
her advice with our website visitors.

     GRATITUDE Group...

This idea originated at the Side-By-Side
Clubhouse where I started a gratitude
group.

Here's how you can get involved. Please email
me what you are grateful for & keep it to a
couple sentences.

I'll read what everyone sends me, then post
one of them here each month.

Providing
structure for
individuals with a
brain injury is
critically important.
Mom and
Jim(dad) are
always there for
all of my
achievements.
They also do not
judge me when I
fail. I love them
both for how they
understand, and
for their tough
love---when
necessary.

Thanks!
Love,
Deb
Losing Wanderers

I assume that with garbage around the
house,
There may be a mouse,
Crawling out of the woodwork,
Deciding to go berserk,
Over the garbage laying around,
Finding some saying "Look what I found!"
That will not be in my home,
They will leave me alone.
Because no mice will be seen,
As long as I am in control,
Their only role,
Is to keep out,
And wander about,
Outside of my house.
