My objective is to increase your awareness that those of us with a brain injury still have intelligence and drive to live life to the fullest. Poetry for me is a way to express myself. I hope that my thoughts and feelings can help you to identify what your journey is in life. In reading my poetry you may find that you have or have had the same thoughts and feelings but could not express them. It has been a revolution for me to find who I am through poetry. You may find that poetry helps with your search. Please enjoy! Deb

Caregiver's Corner... This section is dedicated to all parents, families, and caregivers of children with traumatic brain injuries(tbi's). It is hosted by my mom, who knows a lot about this topic, because she's lived it since my accident in 1980. Her experiences make her an expert, so she'll be sharing her advice with our website visitors.
GRATITUDE Group... This idea originated at the Side-By-Side Clubhouse where I started a gratitude group. Here's how you can get involved. Please email me what you are grateful for & keep it to a couple sentences. I'll read what everyone sends me, then post one of them here each month. Thanks! ...Deb
2008 Deb's November Tip on Coping with a Brain Injury This month we have a chance to be thankful to someone and appreciate all that they have done. |
Mom and Jim(dad) are always there for all of my achievements. They also do not judge me when I fail. I love them both for how they understand and their tough love when necessary. T-h-a-n-k-s! Love, Deb
